The Blazing Star Luxury RV Resort provides a wealth of positives and a few bothersome negatives. First and foremost it is Texas big. The interior roads are all paved as are the RV sites. The sites are mostly level, but you might need to do a little leveling for comfort. They also have cabins for rent. It is located just a couple of miles from Sea World on the west side of San Antonio. There is ample shopping of all types close by.

Daily rates for RV sites range from $42 to $60 depending primarily upon the width of your site. Monthly rates range from $550 to $640, again primarily depending upon the width of your site. The prices are a bit higher during holiday periods. There are some permanent residents as well as a large number of seasonal residents. They are, however, mixed throughout the Park and the sites well maintained. There is no trailer park feeling to the RV Park.

Each RV site has 30 and 50 amp service as well as water and sewer. Cable is also included with about 30 channels available. While there is some shade throughout you will likely be able to use your satellite dish. We have had no problem even though there are trees on both sides of our site. Pets are allowed. They have two fenced areas that serve as dog parks and have doggy bags around the Park.

Scattered throughout the Park are three bathhouses, each containing four showers and bathroom facilities. These are meticulously maintained. Entry to them is controlled by a coded lock. If this is a service you desire, you will be pleased. The laundry room is a separate building and also very nice and clean. They provide a television set inside if you wish to wait on your clothes. It is one of the largest and nicest laundry rooms we have encountered. A modest playground area and a heated pool are available for guests to use. There is a small exercise room located behind the pool and a game area with a couple of pool tables in the office complex.

The biggest issue that I have with Blazing Star is their WI-Fi. They charge from $4.50 a day to $40 a month for WI-Fi. The charge is for one device. We have an Ipod, an Ipad and a notebook computer. The $40 we paid for a month would allow only one of those devices to be on line at a time. Another problem with the WI-Fi is that moving around the Park would disconnect you from the Internet. While it is likely possible to log on again, I was not able to do that on my Ipod. Finally, for no obvious reason I would lose connection while sitting in my RV. This happened as often as half a dozen times during a couple of hours session.

If WI-Fi is not important to you than I rate Blazing Star as a great place to spend a few days or a winter season. Even with the WI-Fi problems, Blazing Star is a really good RV Park.
